HELP WANTED

CHURCH CLEAN UP DAY. Saturday, April 26th, 9:00am until done
As a church we are planning a Church Clean Up day. We need to sweep the parking lot of all the sand and gravel. We need to rake the lawn as well and make it nice for spring! Bring your rakes, brooms, and a wheelbarrow.
LYF & ORKS are you looking for servant event hours? This is a great time to fulfill them. Confirmation Kids: you need to complete 2 each year. LYF: you can use this as an activity before you go on the Summer Servant Event. Make sure you fill out the volunteer hour form on the ORKS & LYF boards and turn them into Kaja Heinecke!
Contact for the day: Rob Bowman #351-2071

A SPECIAL WAY TO SERVE THE LORD AND TO HELP OUR PRESCHOOL
Openings on the Preschool Board need to be filled. Board members do not need to have children in our Preschool. The Board meets about four times a year. This is an important service to Our Redeemer. Please prayerfully consider supporting our Preschool in this way. Call Beverly Prem at 338-2071 to volunteer.

SIGN UP FOR THE LANDSCAPING TEAM (COMMITTEE) It takes teamwork to beautify the church grounds, as well as to keep them looking that way. We need people who would like to help us with the landscaping needs of Our Redeemer. Sign up sheet (and suggestion box!) are in the church office. Please call Connie Houlden, 541-1206, with questions. Thank you.

DIRECTOR OF SMALL GROUP MINISTRY POSITION We are seeking applicants for the Director of Small Group Ministry part-time position. Job descriptions are available in the church office. Prayerfully consider if God is calling you to fill this new position at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Contact Pastor Zimmermann at 338-5626 or Denise Holida at 351-4301 with any questions.

GET CONNECTED

Maybe now is the right time to get to know more people, share your gifts and talents, and enjoy fellowship time while serving. We currently have many openings in the groups listed below. All congregation members are encouraged to pray about these opportunities and contact the church office or group leader for more information.

Though we would love to be able to call each person of the congregation personally, time constraints don't always allow us to get each and every person called. God may be placing a call on your heart to contact us. We would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

For more information, please contact Stephanie Robinson or Kaja Heinecke 338-5626.

Children's Ministry Team: This sub-group of the Education Committee works closely with the Director of Children's Education. The team's mission is to "nurture and support families; equipping them for a lifetime of learning, praying and celebrating God's love in every aspect of life." Focusing specifically on ministry with families of children aged birth to eighth grade. Meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:00pm. For more information, please contact Stephanie Robinson 338-5626.

Meeting times for the new year yet to be determined. For more information, please contact Lea Snedden 319-895-0505.

Outreach Committee: This committee has the opportunity to contact and meet with people who attend one or more of our worship services. The purpose is to answer questions, encourage more worship attendance and further involvement in activities of the Our Redeemer congregation. The board also administers the greeter program so that members and visitors are warmly welcomed as they come in to worship through one of the three entrances to the church building. The Christian Outreach Committee provides educational opportunities for people to learn how to better share their faith with anyone and everyone. It is the board's commission to "Go and make disciples of all nations..." in the surrounding Johnson County communities. Contact Arlan Thompson 338-2938.
