Meet the Staff

	Brent Hartwig, Senior Pastor Pastor Brent Hartwig began his ministry at Our Redeemer in June of 2008. He completed his vicarage assignment here, and was ordained during July of 2009. Brent and his wife, Kara, are blessed with five children: Grace, Emma, Noah, Claire, and Micah. It is a joy to be parents and share our faith in Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior with them. Pastor Hartwig was born, raised, and married in Pekin, Illinois. After graduating from Illinois State University in 1993, he worked for twelve years at Walt Disney World, responsible for sales business plans and strategies. Prior to going to seminary, Pastor Hartwig served as the Youth Coordinator at Woodlands Lutheran Church, Montverde, Florida.
	Rev. Greg Fairow, Outreach Pastor Greg has been helping churches across the United States start, transform, and expand campus ministries since 2005. He previously served as a campus pastor in Wisconsin and a parish pastor in Illinois. Greg earned a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Communications from The University of Iowa in Iowa City. His hometown is Davenport, Iowa. As part of his seminary curriculum, Greg helped start a mission church in Missouri. Prior to attending seminary, he helped start a Christian radio station in Nebraska. Teresa, his wife, is the Gift Planning Counselor-Development Director for the LCMS's English District. She is a graduate of Iowa State University in Ames. Her hometown is Terril, Iowa.
	Kaja Mueller, Director of Youth Ministry Kaja graduated May 2004 from Concordia University - Saint Paul, Minnesota as a Director of Christian Education (DCE). She focuses on High School and Middle School Youth Ministry here at Our Redeemer. Kaja grew up in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota with her mother and two sisters.
	Stephanie Robinson, Director of Children's Education Stephanie and her husband David live in Iowa City with their five children (Kyle, Emily, Madeline, Myranda, & Elizabeth). A member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church for many years, Stephanie joined our staff in August 2006 as Director of Children’s Education. She is currently working towards certification as a Director of Christian Education with emphasis in Family Life Education by taking classes through Concordia University, St. Paul, MN.
	Denise Holida, Director of Small Group Ministry Denise has been a member of Our Redeemer since 1983 and accepted the Director of Small Group Ministry position in 2009. She has been active in small group ministry for the past several years and has completed small group leadership training. Denise graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master's degree. She is board certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. Denise and her husband, Myrl, have two grown children, Matthew and Jenna.
	Marilyn Paetz, Organist
	Louise Klopp, Director of Choirs Louise joined Our Redeemer in 1993. Originally she was employed as the Children's Choir Director and Bell Choir Director, and served in that capacity for 3 years. Louise took a hiatus, and then was asked to lead the Adult Choir and Bell Choir. She has held this position for 10 years now. Louise has a degree in Music Education from Northeast Missouri State University (now known as Truman State), and a Master's Degree in Humanities.
	Pam Moran, Preschool Director Pam has a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Northern Colorado. In 1994 she came to our Preschool as an Assistant Teacher. After 5 years in that position, she became our Preschool Director, the position she has held now for 10 years. Pam and her husband, Mike, have 2 grown children and 3 grandchildren. Originally from Colorado, they have spent most of their adult life in Iowa. They are members of Zion Lutheran Church in Iowa City.
	Joyce Roberson, Minister of Health/Parish Nurse Joyce, a member of Our Redeemer for many years, began as Parish Nurse at Our Redeemer in April, 2007. She has a BSN, MA and Ph.d in various nursing and education areas. Joyce has a wide range of experiences from being a nurse for over 50 years. She has three children--a daughter and two sons, and two granddaughters.
	Sally Trimpe, Office Manager Sally came to Our Redeemer in 2002. She is a graduate of Louisa-Muscatine High School and the University of Northern Iowa. She and her husband, Ken, live at rural Solon, Iowa, and are members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Coralville, Iowa.
	Larry Freeman, Bookkeeper / Director of Technology Larry and his wife Twyla joined Our Redeemer in 1995. He was elected treasurer in 2002 and became the bookkeeper in May of 2003. He assumed the duties of Director of Technology in 2007 when the sanctuary media equipment was installed.
